Kisac Indigenous Cultural Workshops

July 2022 marks the official launch of Kisac Indigenous Cultural Workshops.
Kisac (kîšâc) is a word from Swampy Cree which means “ahead of time / in preparation / with a view to the future”. For our participants it means a community where Indigenous youth can learn together, connecting through cultures.
Whether they are at the beginning of their learning journey — acquainting themselves with a culture they never recieved because of the residential school legacy — or looking for a place to enjoy enriching experiences with other Indigenous youth, Kisac is worth experiencing. Activities include beading, moccasin making, cooking & baking, and jingle & jigging.
Kisac is the second project launched by Youth4Youth Canada, the social good organization founded and managed by my sisters and I, and our friend Ayla. It is funded through grants and individual donatations and strives only to spread as much positivity as posible while breaking even.
